Whilst completing the screening tool, it is important to remember:

- The individual may have been harmed outside the home or exploited even if the activity appears consensual.
- Often, people being harmed and/or exploited do not recognise themselves as victims, or that they are being groomed.
- Harm outside the home and exploitation does not always involve physical contact; it can also occur through the use of technology, online social networks, gaming sites etc.
