Fence Plaque Details

Fence plaques are situated in the Garden of Remembrance at Woodlands Cemetery.

Mounted on granite these plaques can include your inscription a photograph and a standard motif.

They come in a range of colours and include a metal posy vase.


Cost

The inscribed plaque includes up to 140 characters and spaces. Please note that the length of your inscription will determine the size of the letters on the plaque as the manufacturer will make the lettering smaller to fit longer inscriptions onto the plaque.

Photo plaques and standard motifs can be added at an additional cost.

If you would like a motif of a bespoke design there will be an additional cost which is supplied on application and payable separately from this order by debit or credit card.

Inscribed plaques are non-refundable after they have gone into manufacture.

Should you wish to alter the inscription within the lease period, a replacement can be purchased at the appropriate fee by contacting the Cemeteries and Crematoria Team.


Terms and Conditions

The granite mounting and vases are the property of Solihull MBC.

The 3 year lease agreement is for the plaque only.

Memorials can take up to 8 weeks to be manufactured.

The areas around the plaques must not be decorated with items such as vases, flower containers, ornaments or wind chimes, these will be removed by the cemetery.

Wall plaques are allocated on a plan and the final position of all plaques is at the discretion of the Manager.

Solihull Council reserve the right to amend the Cemetery and Crematorium Regulations, the design of the plaques and the position of the plaques without notice to lease holders.

When a motif or photograph is included the engraver may have to adjust the position of the inscription.

If you change your name or address during the period of the lease it is your responsibility to notify the cemetery.

At the end of your lease you may renew.

The plaque will be removed if the option to renew the lease is not taken up.

Liability cannot be accepted for damage caused to a memorial by persons other than Bereavement Services employees.
