Book of Remembrance Details

An entry into the Books of Remembrance at Robin Hood Cemetery or Woodlands Cemetery is a permanent, simple and dignified memorial.

A page is reserved for each day of the year and the book is open on each day of the year.

Entries are usually made to commemorate the date of death or a significant date for the deceased or their families.

The entry in the book can also be viewed in the electronic Book of Remembrance that is sited within the memorial book room on any day of the year or online in the comfort of your own home.

Cost

Costs vary depending on how many lines of dedication you would like to write.

Starting at two lines and up to eight lines.

Flower designs and motifs can be added to the entries in the Book of Remembrance at Robin Hood Cemetery and Woodlands Cemetery for an additional cost.

Terms and Conditions

The books of remembrance are the property of Solihull MBC.

New entries can take up to 8 weeks to be added to the book and will not be on display at the cemetery until the date that you have requested.

Entries will be available to view in the electronic book or online once it has been added by the calligrapher.

Robin Hood Cemetery
Each book at Robin Hood Cemetery contains dates spanning a 3 month period of the year (Jan to Mar, Apr to Jun, Jul to Sept, Oct to Dec). Entries cannot be added to the book when it is on display so please bear this mins when requesting an entry as it may not be possible for it to be on display at the cemetery until the following year. Please beware as the books are changed on 3 month period timescales for entries to be added into the book may take longer for example if you have requested a date in April and April to Jun books are currently in situ in the cemetery your entry will not be added to the book and online book until the books have been changed.

Woodlands Cemetery
Each book at Woodlands Cemetery contains dates spanning a 4 month period of the year (Jan to Apr, May to Aug, Sept to Dec). Entries cannot be added to the book when it is on display so please bear this in mind when requesting an entry as it may not be possible for it to be on display at the cemetery until the following year. Please beware as the books are changed on 4 month period timescales for entries to be added into the book may take longer for example if you have requested a date in May and May to Aug books are currently in situ in the cemetery your entry will not be added in book and online book until the books have been changed.
