Barbican Book Plaque Details

The Barbican Book is located at Robin Hood Cemetery in the Garden of Tranquility and is made of polished granite.

The Garden of Tranquility is located to the side of the exit road from the cemetery and offers a peaceful setting to remember a loved one.

The lease period for the plaque is 3 years, which is optionally renewable upon expiry.


Cost

The inscribed granite plaque includes up to 76 gilded letters.

Inscribed plaques are non-refundable after they have gone into manufacture.


Terms and Conditions

All Barbican Book remains the property of Solihull Council. The lease agreement is for the plaque only.

Inscribed granite plaques can take up to 8 weeks to be manufactured.

The areas around The Garden of Tranquillity and the Barbican Book must not be decorated with items such as vases, flower containers, ornaments or wind chimes, these will be removed by the cemetery.

Items must not be placed on top of the Barbican Book as this may damage the granite. Any costs associated with the repair of such damage will be passed onto the leases holder.

Plaques are allocated on a plan and the final position of all plaques is at the discretion of the Manager.

Solihull Council reserves the right to amend the Cemetery and Crematorium Regulations, the design and the position of the Barbican Book without notice to lease holders.

Should you wish to alter the inscription within the agreement period, a replacement can be purchased at the appropriate fee.

If you change your name or address during the period of the lease it is your responsibility to notify the cemetery.

At the end of your lease you will be offered the option to renew the lease.

The plaque may be removed if the option to renew the lease is not taken up.

Liability cannot be accepted for damage caused to a memorial by persons other than Bereavement Services employees.
